You can book existing equipment without setting up a crew, lineup or session. Choose your club in the sidebar before opening Bookings.
Forms call each piece of equipment a resource. A reservation may be a standalone booking or belong to a scheduled session.
Read the booking timeline
Each row represents equipment and each block represents a reservation. Use the date controls to change day or return to today. Fit day, 2× zoom and 4× zoom change how much time is visible at once. Select a block to see its details. A booking that belongs to a session must be changed through that session. The timeline uses London time.Make a standalone booking
- Select an empty time on the equipment’s row, or drag across an empty period to choose a start and end. You can also use Book equipment.
- Check the resource, date, start time and end time in the form. Choose All Day if you need the whole day.
- Leave Repeat off for a single booking, or configure repetition as described below.
- Submit the form and check the new block in the timeline.
Repeat a booking
Turn on Repeat and choose daily, weekly, monthly or yearly repetition. Set Every to the interval you need, such as every 2 weeks. Choose whether the series ends after a number of occurrences, on a date or never. Use a finite end date when possible. Blades can reject potentially conflicting open-ended series because it cannot establish a conflict-free end to them.Move a booking
Drag a standalone booking to another time or equipment row. The move keeps its duration. Members can move their own bookings; organisers can move the club’s standalone bookings. For a repeating booking, choose This booking to change only the selected occurrence or Entire series to change the series. Check the confirmation before applying it. Session bookings cannot be moved independently. If you are a member, ask your organiser to change the session. Organisers should edit or move the session so its equipment reservations and participant commitments stay together.Resolve a conflict
Blades checks standalone bookings for overlapping reservations. If a save or move reports a conflict, choose another time or resource and try again. A rejected move leaves the saved booking at its previous position. Check the timeline before planning sessions too. Session forms and standalone booking operations do not enforce conflicts in the same way. See Check warnings before saving a session.Delete a booking
Open the standalone booking and use its delete action. Members can delete their own bookings; organisers can delete the club’s standalone bookings. To release equipment reserved by a session, ask the organiser to change its equipment or delete the session.Register equipment
You need the club admin or owner role.- Open Bookings and choose Add Resource.
- Enter its name and, optionally, a nickname.
- For a boat, turn on Boat and choose its class. Set the rigging and cox position where those fields apply.
- Save the resource. It appears as a row in the booking timeline and becomes available for lineups and sessions.
