# Your account

> Update your rowing profile, manage passkeys and sign out of Blades.

Open **Settings** from the sidebar for your profile, passkeys and calendar preferences. These account tasks are optional additions to the [member workflow](/members/get-started).

## Update your profile

Open the profile page in Settings, change the relevant fields and save.

Organisers use rowing eligibility when building lineups and checking assignments. Marking yourself as able to coach does not grant club admin permissions.

Dietary information can appear in a lineup's dietary list. Enter what is needed for that purpose.

<Note>
  Email is read-only. The current screen also shows a Full name field, but changes to that field are not saved. Contact your club organiser about an incorrect account name or email address.
</Note>

## Add a passkey

A passkey lets you sign in through your device, browser or password manager instead of entering an emailed code. How it is stored or shared between your devices depends on the provider you choose.

1. Open **Passkeys** in Settings.
2. Choose **Add Passkey**.
3. Follow the browser or device prompts to create it.
4. Check that it appears in the passkey list.

You can register more than one passkey. Use the passkey option on the sign-in screen when you next sign in.

## Rename or delete a passkey

Use a passkey's edit action to give it a name you recognise. The name helps you distinguish entries; it does not change how the passkey works.

Use its delete action to remove that passkey from your Blades account. Keep access to another passkey or your account email before removing one. Email-code sign-in remains available for existing accounts.

Deleting a passkey registration in Blades does not necessarily remove the saved entry from your password manager. Manage that entry in the provider that stores it.

## Sign out

Open your account menu and choose **Sign out**, especially on a shared computer. You will need to sign in again to access your account.

For display preferences and calendar subscriptions, see [Calendar settings and subscriptions](/account/calendars). Members who need to reserve equipment can also use the [bookings guide](/equipment/bookings#make-a-standalone-booking).
